Why Use BioBaleTM
– One of the most debilitating issues for a performance horse is that of respiratory restriction.
– Clean and clear airways are essential for optimum health and performance.
– A common micro-organism in the stabling environment is mould.
-Mould produces spores which, once ingested, can cause respiratory restriction.
– Aspergillus is such a pathogen which is routinely identified in equine environments.
For complete peace of mind and protection, we want to reduce as much as possible the exposure to this mould.
Our Bio Bale is infused with an organic compliant biocide proven to reduce the aspergillus and mould count in the bedding itself.
Test Results
Unibed are the first to utilise such a product with the backing of independent tests proven to significantly reduce mould exposure by at least 50%
Results :
OSR untreated 1600 cfu/g = colony forming units of mould
Treated = reduction to 600 cfu/g (>50% reduction)
Wheat straw untreated 100 cfu/g
Treated = reduced to 40 cfu/g ( >50% reduction )
