The UNIBED team is made up of family members and great colleagues, who all have the same passion for delivering fantastic customer service.

Luke Hirst – Director

Luke plays a central role at UNIBED, overseeing every stage of the process—from sourcing and managing the baling of straw, to production and coordinating deliveries.

His hands-on approach and deep agricultural expertise are at the heart of what makes UNIBED’s product consistently high-quality. A driving force behind the 2019 relaunch alongside Jessica, Luke’s unwavering commitment and hard work have been instrumental in shaping the business as it stands today. His contribution continues to be a cornerstone of UNIBED’s ongoing success.

Edward Hirst – Director

Edward founded UNIBED in 2009, initially supplying local clients and the trade market. With a diverse background spanning agriculture, machinery maintenance, retail expertise and the equestrian industry, Edward brought a wealth of knowledge to the business from day one.

His dedication and drive were key in establishing UNIBED’s strong reputation, and he continues to be a vital presence—offering invaluable advice and support that helps steer the business forward.

Tina Carter – Director & Accounts Manager

Tina, alongside Edward, was instrumental in launching the UNIBED journey—overseeing product distribution and driving those crucial early sales that laid the foundation for our growth.

Since 2009, Tina has played a vital role in building lasting relationships with many of our long-standing customers, some of whom made their very first UNIBED purchase thanks to her efforts. Today, Tina continues to support the entire UNIBED team across various areas and is a key point of contact for all things accounting.

Jessica Vickers – Commercial & Operations Director

Jessica is the partner of Luke and joined the family business in 2019. With a keen eye for high-quality marketing and a strong focus on social media, Jessica helped steer UNIBED into a new chapter—reaching a wider audience and modernising the brand’s presence.

She now leads the commercial development of the business, managing everything from social media strategy to partnerships and sponsorships. Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, Jessica also works closely with Emma to process orders, handle customer enquiries, and coordinate deliveries—ensuring a smooth and friendly experience for every customer.

Emma Holliday – Customer Service Executive

Emma joined the UNIBED team in 2024 as part of the customer service department, and she immediately made a lasting impression. With a proactive approach and a genuine passion for delivering excellence, Emma quickly familiarised herself with the product, manufacturing process, and ordering systems to ensure she could uphold the high standards of service that UNIBED is known for.

Her attention to detail, professionalism, and warm communication style have not gone unnoticed—customers frequently praise Emma for her outstanding support. Now an integral part of the team, Emma continues to raise the bar and play a key role in ensuring a smooth and positive experience for every UNIBED customer.

Lee Andrews – Transport Team

Lee’s journey with UNIBED began not as a team member, but as a loyal customer. When demand for customer deliveries grew in 2021, Lee stepped in to help—and became the very first driver to join the team. His friendly manner, reliability, and strong work ethic quickly made him a customer favourite. Having experienced the benefits of UNIBED firsthand, Lee and his family were enthusiastic supporters of the brand following its relaunch.

His daughter, Sophie, has also played a role in spreading the word, proudly serving as a UNIBED brand ambassador since 2021. The dedication and support of Lee and his family have meant a great deal, and Lee remains a valued and much-loved member of the team.

Jason Lindley – Transport Team

Jason joined UNIBED during the height of our busy 2024 season and quickly proved himself to be a standout member of the team. A former farrier with extensive knowledge of the equestrian world, Jason brings a deep understanding of our customers’ needs—and a genuine passion for service.

As part of the transport team, his professionalism and helpful nature haven’t gone unnoticed, with many customers praising his friendly attitude and willingness to go the extra mile. Whether it’s accommodating early deliveries or assisting with large, hands-on unloads, Jason is always ready to help. His commitment and care make him an invaluable part of the UNIBED experience.
