Oilseed Rape Straw
High performing and highly absorbent, there are plenty of reasons why our customers love our ‘Oilseed Rape Straw’ bedding solution…
Our ‘Oilseed Rape Straw’ continues to be a much loved bedding solution for many of our customers up and down the country.
Before undertaking three lots of dust extraction, this option of ‘UNIBED’ goes through a series of chopping sequences, creating the perfect size length of straw for urine to sit instead of dispersing across an entire bed. This is why we recommend this option, if your horse is particular “messy”!
An average user may start off a medium-deep litter using roughly 4/5 bales to create the perfect layer to soak up any wet and mess. When you return to your stable, all you need to do, is simply take away the wet and give the rest of the bed a quick fluff up or top up with our ultra comfy ‘Wheat Straw’ to create the perfect balance of absorbency AND comfort.
Again, we know how vital it is that your horses do not suffer from airborne issues commonly caused by loose straw, which is why we are rigorous with our dust extraction process and continue to update and modify how we manufacture ‘UNIBED – High Performance Equine Bedding’ so we are only delivering you the best.

How to Use Unibed Bedding
We are often asked ‘how do you use UNIBED’ which sometimes can be a difficult question to answer. Every horse is different, every user has their own bed preferences but below is a baseline in which you can use UNIBED.
We recommend using 4-5 approx 20kgs bales, to set up your initial bed (of whichever UNIBED product you prefer) which should offer a medium-deep litter in a standard 12×12 stable.
Most users will then find they are able to use just 1 x bale a week to keep on top of their bed. Most customers find they can skip their stable out daily and remove the wet once a week.
Our products are also great when used together. Using either our ‘Oilseed Rape Straw’ or ‘Miscanthus’ as your initial base and the ‘Wheat Straw – Lavender’ as your top up, is a great way to benefit from the different properties each bedding type offers.
Equally, all products can be used solely on their own in whichever way best suits the user and their horse.
